"So I get to meet them after all. You're mean, Reborn, by telling me that I'll never meet the next generation."
"Shut up girl, I know you're capable of doing worse, compared to me. Say, why not transfer here and trick them? Then kidnap them."
"You know I don't kidnap, idiot. I'm merely a mafioso that hates the Mafia and their ways."
"That's why I want you to help me give them a break from the dark. Help me do something I am incapable of ruining. I'll pay you that hefty sum again."
"Make it double, infant."
"The curse is over. I'm a teen now. And look-y, you sound like one already. Anyway, I've booked your flight and sent your ticket through the Vongola network. I've prepared everything for your arrival already."
Beep-Beep-Beep... Reborn clicked his tongue in annoyance at the girl's attitude. "Rude!" He declared. So far, she must be the only one besides Nono that does not fear him. Best part, she does not do what a normal Mafioso would do.
She is a great friend to him and offers him many great and tempting pieces of advice when he feels frustrated about his work, life and problems. (Although he didn't heed the 'no smoking and drinking' advice) Finally, no, he is not attached to her romantically because she says so. (Lol!)
He smirked and pulled his fedora below his eyes. Lucky for him, Tsuna and that Cow are asleep and both of them are oblivious to his plan. I am so going to destroy all her plans. Wait for me, you idiot.
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
Damn that Reborn, doing things before I even give my consent. She rolled her hazel eyes and flopped onto her single-size bed. Her lifestyle is rather different from the regulars. She loves the light and lived high above the ground. Security is tight there and her life is perfectly peaceful.
As to how Reborn found her, it was beyond her knowledge. Seems like the security there is still unable to contain that freelance hitman.
She then dragged out her haversack and picked put a few clothes and necessities for the trip. As if on cue, her doorbell rang. "Dear, go and check who's there please?"
Immediately, she ran to the door and swing it wide, surprising the poor man on the other side. The male had a navy blue cap on his head, a familiar gold insignia stitched in the centre. In his hand was a nicely wrapped parcel. Instantly, she knew who he represented. His head snapped up from the clipboard in his hand. He scrutinized her face and gave her a professional smile. "Miss Angeline Chong? There is a mail from Sir Reborn."
"Ah sou. Thank you very much then." She takes the parcel from his hand and then took out a clean envelope. She then looked at his name tag and smirked. "I know you understand this language, Calipso, so listen." She hissed then lights her hand with purple and yellow flames, moving it near his face. Calipso gulped and nodded.
"Hand this to Reborn and tell him to ready his ass. I'll torture him so hard, he'll go running to Bianchi for help. Understand?" Calipso nodded and quickly scooted off, realising the colour of the flames she materialised.
Purple, she is a loner and she hates crowds; but yellow, showing that she could tolerate to a certain extent.
If he stays any longer, he is doomed!
She closed the door and smiled. "Ma, I would be staying at my friend's place for a week because of a school project. We are required to know more about our foreign classmate's culture and we think we'll get better results if we have a sleepover." She hollered. At first, her mother was suspicious but soon gave in to her puppy eyes. Angeline cheered and hugged her mother happily.
However, as soon as she shut the door behind her, her face changed to look more serious. She opened the parcel and scanned through the articles.
A pair of air tickets for the trip to and fro, a notebook with the needed details and a playful note from Reborn. Without even reading the note, she threw it away. She does not listen to him anyway. Grabbing her passport and headphones, she left the house with casual clothing. "Bye bye!"
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
Tsuna was forced out of bed once again, this time with an involuntary ice bucket challenge. The clock showing seven in the morning. He yawned and rubbed his eyes lazily, swinging his feet onto the cold hard floor. Slowly, he got himself ready for school. "I'm off!"
"Have a safe trip!"
As he proceeded down the quiet morning lane, he was joined by his best friends and then the girls. Afterwards, almost the whole gang was there already, with a few exceptions. Haru goes to a different school and Kyoya is probably at school already. Reborn was there as usual, but with a smug look for today. Tsuna bit his lip, a little scared of what he was going to plan today.
"Ne Tsuna-kun, do you know that we're going to have a new classmate today?" Kyoko asked, her eyes twinkling in joy. Said male nodded his head. "Reborn informed me." She clapped her hands excitedly. "I hope it's a girl!" He just smiled, not at the fact but of the beautiful girl in front of him.
Takeshi then slings his arms over both of their shoulders with his usual grin. "We'll welcome him or her nicely, right?" He laughed. Ryohei lunched his fist into the air and exclaimed, "extreme welcome to the new student! Introduce them to me later to the extreme!" Laughter erupted into the air but one did not laugh.
Hayato frowned at the baseball maniac and then pulls him away from the two brunets forcefully. "Don't tell the tenth what to do, you baseball idiot!" Takeshi continued to just laugh.
"By the way, you people," Reborn spoke up, gathering all of their attention instantly. The teen coughed and smirked. (Reborn looks about 12-13 here. The curse, as stated before, has been lifted already.) "Gather at the roof during lunch. I want you all to meet a friend."
"Reborn has a friend?" Tsuna shouted, earning a hard whack on the head by Reborn's Leon-fan. Then he was glared on by the same person. "I socialize please and I know how to make friends."
On the mark, the bell rang and all of them hurried to class, brushing by a girl with geeky glasses and auburn hair tied into a ponytail, a pink ribbon to finish the look. She wore casual clothes and stared at the tall building in front of her.
"Hm... The atmosphere is definitely different from back at home. And you arrive at school around eight too." She muttered, aware of the man coming towards her with his tonfas up. His aura was thick yet she did not feel suffocated.
"You..."
"What is it? If you're going to ask if I belong here, I must say... I'm forced to enrol here for a few days."
The man had raven hair and steel blue eyes. He wore the regular Gakuran and had a red band, completely foreign to her. However, because of a certain notebook she had, she easily identified him. "Herbivore, are you the new transfer student?"
She blinked and pointed at herself. "Talking to me? My, you have poor manners like how that idiot described. Introduce yourself before asking me anything." She smirked at him dangerously. He felt a chill but kept his cool.
"I'm the disciplinary head of the school-"
"-Hibari Kyoya. I know you. The cloud of the-" Before she continued, Kyoya launched at her, his arm stretched out to hit her but his weapon met air. Her body twisted accordingly, dodging the attack before running for the building. "Wait-"
"-you hate people getting late but you're delaying me. I gotta go get my schedule for the day! See ya!" She cried and disappeared into the building, leaving him gawking silently. Kyoya froze for a moment before grinning in excitement. Who is she?
The principal handed her a file with everything she needed for the few days she is staying. Gratefully, she bowed and saw her own way out, following the directions and floor plans given.
3-A... 3-A... Ah! There it is!
She knocked on the door and waited for the door to open. It slid open and a pretty lady stood behind, looking stern like any teacher would. The teacher stepped away from the door and stood behind the podium-like stand. "Class, we have a transfer student who would be staying with us for three days. Ch-"
"Yah yah, Sensei. My name is in Chinese. I don't like to add '-san' or '-sama' behind it. I'll introduce myself." She said as she strolled into the classroom, her posture extruding confidence with every stride.
"A pleasure to meet you all. My name is Angeline Chong but call me Angeline, please. It is not usual for people calling my surname back at home. But if you really have to call my surname, I suggest you use 'Imayoshi'. I'll answer to that." She smiled. Angeline then took the chance to scan the place, trying to look for some familiar faces while her temporary classmates looked at her.
"Any dying questions to ask?" She finally asked, her eyes narrowed. All of them flinched and shook their heads. Great! The teacher then pointed her to her seat behind a grinning boy and she settled at the furthest back.
The boy turned around, about to introduce himself when she cuts in again. "It's fine. Yamamoto Takeshi, yes? Rain guardian of Vongola Decimo." She resumes listening to the lesson. Said male was taken aback by her. Despite keeping a suspicious look, he managed a bright smile and dozed off in class.
Seems like Decimo is not in this class. I'll just wait for lunch then.
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
Lunch soon came and Angeline happily skipped to the store to buy lunch. A melon bread and a cup of milk. Suddenly, her phone rang, scaring her out of her wits. She approached a window and place a few things on the ledge. Swiftly, she took out her annoying device.
"What?"
"The roof. Now."
Being the rebellious one, she quickly shut her phone and gathered her things. "That stupid Reborn. I only have a few minutes left and you want me to go to the roof. You better let me eat there." She grumbled and climbed up the stairs.
Her flames lit her up and she busts the door open, making the few people on the roof stare at her. Surprisingly, it is the Vongola tenth and his friends. Still, she kept her flames up. She looked around and saw a teen with curly sideburns and a black fedora. Immediately, she charged with her food in hand.
"You idiot of a hitman, Reborn! What the shit is this, getting me from my home and sending me here to Japan without notice. You idiot!" However, she did not charge blindly and managed to graze his arm. With one hand. All of them were shocked and in awe.
"Angeline-san?" Takeshi asked. She tilts her head and questioned. "Need anything?" He became speechless and shook his head.
Without warning, she ran to the fluffy brunet head and grabbed his hand, all formal etiquette got thrown out of the window.
"Awesome! This is Vongola Decimo? That's so cool! But then, my age? That's young!" Before she could continue praising him, Angeline was forced apart from him by a silver head, glaring intensely at her.
"Stay away from the tenth, woman!"
Instead of getting threatened, she laughed. "Feisty and protective. The story guardian indeed, Gokudera Hayato." Said male was surprised.
Clapping was then heard from behind her and she spun around, still angry at the hitman. Reborn takes his step forward and made her face the angry and surprised mob. Everyone remained quiet. "This is Angeline Chong, a good friend of mine. You'll address her as Imayoshi here because of reasons. Hibari, I suggest you come down here. You've already witnessed her battle prowess." The discipline head immediately appeared, but he stood at the far end because of the crowd. He recognised her as the woman who managed to evade his attacks and would try again later.
"Gokudera, you may have heard of the hitman that does not kill, Codename: Ange. Of course, she has been MIA for awhile."
"I aim to disengage, unlike Reborn here," Angeline mumbled.
Gokudera nods his head and his eyes sparkled. Immediately, he bowed apologetically about his earlier behaviour. She's waved it off and forgave him.
"However, her purpose here is not to test you people. As Yamamoto may have heard, three days is not enough for her to test anything."
"I love large scale missions, not duck sitting observation." She commented, making everyone but the Cloud laugh.
"Just so you know, I'm a freelance like Reborn," she points at him. "And I am attached to the Vongola like Reborn here. However, Nono never liked to make me kill. Besides, where I live is a little... Inconvenient for missions to take place."
"Thus, she will be bringing all of you to her place, this Wednesday to Saturday, for a break. Your school has been informed." Reborn concluded. At first, they were looking at him weirdly, a little suspicious about his words. Who knows his plan?
"Also, don't bring any weapons. Anything with metal cannot pass through the gates. Explosives cannot be brought in as well. You want a weapon, you buy from there. Clear? Don't bring your kendo stick too, Yamamoto." Everyone still looked at her blankly. She shrugged and finished her lunch, ripping out a few pieces of paper with writings on top.
"Your air tickets are with Reborn. This paper has all the information you need, itinerary, packing list. However, the place you're going is not stated so here's a hint. It's somewhere near the equator. Please inform the mist too, they're invited~. Well then!" She waved her hand and leapt off the building, surprising all of them and Tsuna shrieked at his loudest. The teens loomed over the railings, only to find her gone and... alive? There is no blood after all.
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
"Rokudo~ Oh, Dokuro! Where are you?" She shouted, although her tone was a bit... Cheery despite the dangerous place and situation she is in. She continued to call out, "where art thou mists of thy Vongola tenth?"
She kept walking around the run down building, oblivious to the midst gathering in her face. In an attempt to creep her out more, a burst of obnoxious laughter rang in her ears but she remained unfazed.
However, she smiled, startling the other party. "Kufufufu... Rokudo Mukuro right? A pleasure to meet you, Kokuyo gang. But I must say, impressive." The man appeared, lifting the thick illusion from the surroundings. Angeline blinked and looked at the room. A few unwanted people and finally, Chrome Dokuro.
"I would like to speak to the two pineapple heads please." Hence ticking off Mukuro, making the other's laugh. "May the rest please leave us for a while? Or else..." She slipped out a silver knife and twirled it dangerously with purple propagating flames.
Originally, they were hesitant, protesting against her arrangement. Mukuro looked at her, quietly asking why. "Because I say so. I don't want uncivilized citizens munching off my money."
"You b-" She then places the knife on the blond's neck, hissing menacingly into his ear. "Keep your hands where they belong. I don't want monkeys creating havoc on my land." He shuts up, frozen from the threat. A male with a beanie then pulls the blond away, leaving the room empty except for the three.
"Why did you do that-"
"Get ready to leave by Wednesday." She then walks over to Chrome with a paper at hand. "Pack light. Everything you need is written here." Before they could ask more, she left with a skip in her steps.
Mukuro was dumbfounded but then... "Kufufufu... She's interesting." Chrome merely nodded to agree.
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
"So... Does Gokudera know where we're going? Hmm?" Angeline taunted said male, a smug look remaining on her face. He growled lowly at her, indirectly saying that he has no idea. She clapped her hands in glee, delighted that she had outsmarted the intelligent bomber.
Tsuna sighed at popped another onigiri into his mouth, ignoring how the two were having a one-sided argument. Takeshi tried to break them apart but to no avail.
The brunet rubbed his temples. Lunch, to him, is already noisy when Hayato snaps and starts shouting at Takeshi; even though the other had done nothing wrong but get a little friendly with him. This time, it is her fault for testing his patience, arousing the fight and no one could quell them down. To add on, there are these fangirls of Hayato's, getting jealous as to why Angeline and he could sit with their crush. His surroundings are too noisy and he has no guts to butt in.
Just then, Angeline cuts the argument short, using a loud voice to shut everyone up. "You people are so childish!"
She then picks up her trash and threw them in the bin, adapting to the Japanese culture very quickly about classroom cleanliness. Then a gust of wind covered their eyes and in a flash, she is gone.
The three males remained quiet, unable to make any other sounds.
She pressed her face into her palms, groaning at the idiotic moment she was involved in earlier. If not for her quick thinking, she may have lit her hands with flames, purple and yellow. She may get bullied for being a freak, a pyromania or something; and bullying is the last thing she needs for her last day in the school.
"Hating yourself now?" A familiar voice said beside her.
Not even bothered to identify who the other is, she replied. "How do I hate myself? Remind me once more, Reborn."
The raven head sighed and took her hand into his. Her eyes widened in horror when a pink hair lady infiltrated her mind. "H-hey! What is Bianchi sees this?"
"Let her then. I'm not doing anything wrong, just being nice to a friend. She's just too over-protective." He simply said, a smirk playing on his lips. Angeline smacked herself mentally, resorting to maintain the awkward silence between the two of them. Eventually, she was dragged to the roof, not knowing what the hitman had installed for her.
"Why am I here?" She inquired, staring into the blue skies that seemed so far to her. She will never acquire a sky, and she would never be able to get any real friends.
Reborn solemnly shook her head and whistled. Angeline cocked an eyebrow and looked at him. He smirked at her, signalling for her to wait. Thus, she did.
Surprisingly, a little girl around the age of seven appeared. She wore a red cheongsam with long sleeves that covered even her hands. Her hair braided up and her eyes were small and squinty. The girl merely looked at her and tilted her head. Reborn nodded his head and gestured. "This is Angeline Chong. Fon would have mentioned her as Ange." Her eyes seemed to have brightened and looked at her with elation.
"Hello, my name I-pin."
The older female chuckled at her attempt greeting her in Japanese. She lowered herself and stretched her hand out. "You don't need to force yourself when you talk to me. It's a pleasure to meet you too. You can call me Ange or Angeline, I-pin." Hearing her own language spoken so fluently in this land is music to her ears. Excited, she nodded her head and engaged herself in a lively conversation with Angeline.
Reborn slowly removed himself from the pretty picture, snapping a photo and saving it into his folder. I hope you had fun. This shall be my treat to you.
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
"I'm really innocent! There's nothing going on between Reborn and me! We are just friends!" She explained in exasperation, not knowing how many times she had this heated and useless conversation with that fourth girlfriend of his. However, the idea just did not seem to get through her thick skull because every time they meet, she would start accusing Angeline of her affair with her dear Reborn.
By the way, Angeline has a feeling that Bianchi is merely another girl in Reborn's eyes. They really do not look nor act like a couple.
"You know what Bianchi? I had it. Think whatever you please." She threw her hands in the air as a sign of surrender and stalked away.
Everyone was at the airport, even the twin pineapple heads. Fortunately, they did not bring the others along, she did not have enough tickets. She quickly did a headcount and skipped to the check-in point. Before they could even put their luggage onto the conveyer belt, she spun around and narrowed her eyes at them.
"I hope you didn't bring any weapons right?" She asked and looked at everybody, her eyes squinting to observe everyone's reaction. She pinched the bridge of her nose and cleared her throat. Commandingly, "Hayato, strip. All gunpowder, electronics related to bombs and weapons should be removed. Takeshi! I thought I said not to bring your shinai? Lambo, the horns and bazookas in your hair. Chrome and Mukuro, I hope you're not hiding your weapons in illusions. Kyoya, no weapons remember? Why can't all of you be like your boss? His weapon is harmless. Throw that bloody gun away, Reborn!" And the chiding went on for half an hour. Reborn ran his fingers through his hair. When she breaks out in Chinese, it simply meant that she is angry.
After everything was done, she checked her watch and shrieked. Instinctively, she grabbed the one closest to her and began to run for the check-in point. She slammed everyone's tickets on the counter, startling the poor attendant behind the station.
"I'm so sorry, those fools aren't following my instructions."
Said fools threw nasty looks at her, unable to accept her words despite how true it was. The lady nodded her head and smiled nervously.
Angeline sighed and lets go of the person she grabbed. "I'm sorry for dragging you like that." Fortunately, she brought Kyoko. Unfortunately, the male with an extreme brother complex was furiously grinding his teeth, smoke omitting from him. However, he got ignored.
She gave all of them an evil eye. "If I notice any weapon in your bag, I'll incinerate them all." They gulped and nodded their head, quickly placed their luggage one by one.
As soon as Mukuro and Chrome are done, they stride to her and asked. "So, Ange, where are we heading to?"
"Eh? I remember that I didn't give you my codename. Where did you hear it from?" She questioned with an impassive look, like she already knows their answer. Mukuro chuckled, "we have our resources."
"Sneaky," and she picked up her pace, leading the team through the customs, dodging the pineapple's question at the same time.
Timeskip
It has been almost two hours and all of them were shuffling towards the allocated waiting area for their flight. Let's just say that their trip there was pure torture.
There were a lot of disturbances
Somehow, even the ladies at the airport would swoon to the group like flies. Mukuro got pissed off and wrapped himself in the illusion, making everyone lose sight of him. Chrome had to look for him but she stood out too much, drawing attention to herself.
Hayato and Takeshi were again having a one-sided argument with the silver head getting angry at a minor detail. Lambo just made things worse by sticking his nose into the problem, which caused the same person to bang his head. Next thing you know, he is a wailing mess. Ryohei had to stop the boy but he himself was shooting too much. Luckily, only two people had earplugs, Reborn and Angeline. The latter had bought it at a store in the airport while the former already had a pair in his ears.
The girls are fine, just that they are really busy looking at all those things at the shops. They tried to pull in Chrome but failed miserably because she is still panicking for her saviour. Then they tried to bring in Angeline, but she is too busy discussing matters with Reborn, which struck another bad chord in Bianchi.
Tsuna was the most normal, choosing to just tag along with the ladies but did nothing loud and attention drawing.
All in all, they were a major attraction at the airport.
Angeline scratched her head and quickly tried to round everyone up. "Hey! We only have a few more minutes before the flight rejects us!" She shouted, anxiety written all over her face. I-pin came running, obeying her fellow Chinese speaking friend.
However, no one else paid her any heed, even the brunet despite having a strong intuition. Why could he not see that she is urgent right now? If she misses this flight, there is no telling when would she be able to go home! And when she does, there would be a stack of homework piling as high as Nono's paperwork! She cried mentally, deciding to ignore everyone and move forth sulkily with her newfound buddy.
Fine, they want to waste this effort of Reborn's, so be it. There won't be a vacation for them anymore.
The one that created this vacation opportunity, frowned at her thoughts, even though there was some truth in it. He walked to Tsuna, tapped his shoulder and rose his intent. The latter shivered and looked at him, "what's wrong?" He cowered. Reborn pointed at Angeline's depressed figure, making the brunet's thought click in.
"Ah, we got to go..."
"May the following please proceed to gate 13? Sawada Tsunayoshi, Reborn Sinclair, Gokudera Hayato, ..., and Dokuro Chrome. Thank you!" The PA system said.
Suddenly, everyone shuddered at the growing intent. Their shuffling pace was hastened to the gate and into the plane, their gazes meeting an angry cloud. The other cloud is surprisingly on the ride already, at the other far end. To add on, the whole perimeter around them is empty.
Nervously, they picked a seat and sat down, making sure that they kept a healthy distance between the crowd haters. Reborn chose to sit in front of Angeline though.
Suddenly, a robotic voice boomed over. "Good morning to all passengers. Due to certain circumstances, we will be leaving our destination out from our introduction but you should know where you're heading." The man chuckled. Everyone else's sweat dropped.
"I am Matsuo Gin, captain and beside me is Wakamatsu Shinji. Welcome aboard on flight 368 and thank you for choosing Jet-air. The flight would be five hours long and we will take off shortly."
The Vongola team sat in silence, with one question in their head.
So... Where are we going?
Timeskip- after the whole trip (I'm so not explaining everything)
Everyone had smiles on their face, completely thankful for the teen that stood before them. There break was an eye opener for them.
"I hope you've enjoyed your stay here!" Angeline said, a bright grin hanging on her face. Tsuna nodded his head, agreeing to the statement. "I didn't know that such a safe country existed. It's odd to find someone like you here, much less one working for the Vongola. There is no company under us as far as I noticed!"
"Although I must say, the Vongola did not step in at all." The brunet blinked, shocked by the statement. "Then how did-"
"Angeline-chan, thank you for bringing us here! I had fun!" Another brunette said, cutting Tsuna's question short, her beam not leaving her satisfied face. Said girl patted her hair, smiling slightly. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Come back sometime, yes?" Her friend nodded her head. Nana skipped to her and embraced her. She jolted up, surprised by the sudden attack. "Thank you,
Next, the males went over to her. She frowned and tapped her feet on the floor, slightly ticked at their attitude over the few days. She then looked over their shoulder and saw a hitman with a brand-new fedora, smirking at her. "What do you want?"
"We're sorry about our behaviour." They chorused, even Kyoya. Angeline's eyes soften and lifted their chins one by one. Then her eyes hardened as she ordered, "leave now."
"Bu-"
"No buts. I want to see you gone from the customs and into the immigration point." They stared, their mouth agape at her sudden change in attitude. Their lips then twisted into their own scowls, thinking that she is treating them unfairly. However, Tsuna remained smiley, his intuition picking up something. Slowly, they turned and left.
Angeline reached out and grabbed Tsuna's sleeve, stopping him. "Hear me out, Decimo." Said male tensed up and gave her his full attention. Reborn and Bianchi sauntered their way over, interested in the conversation too and they knew that she would not mind.
"Once you become Decimo officially, the ceremony and all over, remove me from the Mafia." The trio's breath hitched, letting the new information sink in. Angeline took a deep breath and continued.
"To answer your question earlier, I was forcefully dragged into the Mafia, no other intentions were involved. Reborn just happened to find me fighting off a gang alone and offered me a position in Vongola. Being a stupid kid, I agreed. Later, I found out that my grandfather was involved and thus, I was never tasked to kill. Nono is a kind man, trying to keep my innocence pure and untainted because of Nonno's request. But with a certain man involved, it would never be pure."
"You know why am I in such a safe country? So that dangerous missions that don't need my help, won't reach my ears. So that I won't get targeted easily. No one knows that the hitman known as Ange is just a fifteen year old. Do you know why Vongola didn't establish here? It's just to keep me safe."
"Of course, the Mafia is dangerous. Even with me out of it, I'll still get targeted. So this is my final request." She declared, tears brimming at her eyes. I'm sorry Reborn, I hope you won't hate me.
"Erase my records, all of it-"
"Angeline, I didn't arrange this just for you to meet the Decimo and declare your retirement plans!"
"And cage that stupid idiot for removing my freedom. Worse come to worse, you can kill me." She finalised, pointing at Reborn. She then glanced at her watch and panicked for them.
"Oh dear, you got to go!" She said and hastily turned them around, pushing them to the gates; leaving no room for arguments. They loudly protested at first, trying to push their way out to no avail. She used her cloud flames to push them. Once they passed the gates, her fingers lifted off their backs and she leapt backwards.
She smiled and waved at them, bidding them goodbye. As her eyes glanced over to Tsuna, her lips mouthing, "Arrivederci."
-I'm going somewhere I don't know?!-
It has been years since he had last seen her. Keeping to his words, Tsuna erased all her records and wiped her name off the underground as soon as he turned Decimo. Despite meeting her once only, he kept his promise, which was not really one. It was an order.
He flipped through the newspapers, watching out for any new news about the world. Just then, his door was knocked on. He swivelled around, posing to look concentrated on his work. Sadly, it was Reborn at his door.
"Are you really doing your work?" His tutor asked, suspicious about his actions. Tsuna dropped his own and raised his arms in surrender. "Nope!" Reborn shook his head, not knowing what to do anymore.
"Anyway, you have a meeting later. Get ready in a few minutes." He said and stormed out of the room, leaving a dumbfounded boss looking at his shadow.
In a few minutes, the man was back, with a gun at hand, ready to threaten the brunet. "Let's go."
The limousine rode down the busy expressways, passing by the street stands and food stalls. "Have you found her?" Tsuna asked out of the blue, startling the other out of his reverie. Reborn shook his head. "She changed her numbers, email and all, meticulously covering her trail."
Tsuna sighed and looked out of the window before his eyes widened. A young adult, about eighteen to nineteen years of age, sat at one of the cafés drinking coffee. She had auburn hair tied to one side, geeky glasses and casual clothes. Like the first time they met.
"Ange!"
Reborn snapped up, unable to believe his ears. They stopped the car immediately, hopping out of the vehicle and running towards her direction.
Angeline picked up the sounds of hurried footsteps towards herself and stopped drinking her Iced Americano. She turned her head and spits her drink out. Two handsome young men she could not recognize were running in her direction. "Wha-"
"You're Angeline. Aren't you?" The brunet asked, bending down to catch his breath. An Italian man spoke Japanese? Not knowing what to do, she remained stoic. "Who are you?"
Those three words struck them hard. Their eyes were as wide as saucers, staring at her like she is an alien. They quickly collected themselves and introduced. "I'm Reborn, your best friend, and this is Dame-Tsuna." The raven head said.
She narrowed her eyes, wary of the men. They both felt dangerous, like the life she had before. "Dame... Tsuna? No good Tsuna?" While the brunet glared at the other, "Reborn" seemed to be agreeing to what she said, nodding his head away.
Then pain engulfed her mind and she keeled over to minimize the pain. A rush of memories came crashing like waves, hitting her hard. "Sawada... Tsunayoshi? Reborn the idiot?" As a cue, she was lifted off her chair, bridal carried towards the limousine that was parked at the side. Reborn took her Americano too, knowing her addiction to it like him to espresso.
"Hey! What are you doing?"
Tsuna then plopped her down and strapped her in, locking it with his orange flames. She glared at him. "I understand Reborn would do this but I never expect you, of all people, to do that. Let me go, Sawada Tsunayoshi! I had also said 'Arrivederci' previously, which means that I want no other involvement with you!"
Said man teasingly clicked his tongue, denying her request. Reborn adverted his eyes, not wanting to care and look on any longer. Tsuna whispered into her ears. "Consider this as payment. For that one very expensive trip for more than ten to Singapore that time."
A smile graced her lips. "You figured? I thought you'll never, considering you were Dame-Tsuna." He punched her shoulder lightly.
"Now, where are we going?" She asked, curious to why her surroundings are now trees. Tsuna placed his finger of the lip, telling her that he is not letting anything out.
"Now, it's your turn not to know where you're heading. And I'm not prepared to hear another 'Arrivederci' from you." He chuckled.
She pouted and folded her arms. "You better bring me back to my hotel before midnight today." She then harshly points at the hitman, her caramel eyes glinting purple dangerously. "Especially you, don't keep your bestie out for too long. I'm sure you don't want to suffer my mother's wrath again."
The two males paused before laughing, earning bewildered looks from her. "Yes yes, princess."
So... Where am I going?
A/N: I don't own the pictures used.
